1. Who we are

RYDO Mobility ("RYDO", "we", "us") is a self-drive car rental service operating in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our website (page-craft-432.emergent.host) or book a vehicle with us.

2. Information we collect

  • Identity data: Full name, date of birth, driving license number, government-issued ID (Aadhaar/Passport/Voter ID).
  • Contact data: Email address, mobile number, postal address.
  • Booking data: Pickup and drop dates, locations, vehicle preferences, booking history, feedback.
  • Payment data: Card and UPI transactions are processed by Razorpay. We do NOT store your full card number, CVV, or UPI PIN. We only receive a transaction reference and status.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and cookies for authentication.

3. How we use your information

  • To process and confirm your bookings and communicate with you about them.
  • To verify your identity and eligibility to rent a vehicle.
  • To collect security deposits, process payments, and issue receipts.
  • To respond to your queries and provide customer support.
  • To send booking confirmations, reminders, and important service updates via SMS/WhatsApp/email.
  • To comply with legal obligations (e.g., sharing information with law enforcement when legally required).
  • To improve our services, analyse trends, and prevent fraud.

4. Cookies & tracking

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may affect your ability to use certain features (like login).

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We only share it with:

  • Razorpay — for payment processing (subject to their own privacy policy)
  • Insurance providers — in the event of an accident/claim
  • Law enforcement — when required by valid legal process (e-challans, court orders, etc.)
  • Service providers such as SMS/email gateways strictly to deliver notifications

6. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data — including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), password hashing (bcrypt), and secure httpOnly session cookies. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data retention

We retain your booking and identity records for a minimum of 3 years to comply with financial and tax regulations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data after this period by writing to us.

8. Your rights

  • You may access, correct, or update your personal information by logging into your dashboard.
  • You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • You may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time (transactional emails like booking confirmations cannot be opted out of).
  • You may request deletion of your account by emailing hello@rydomobility.com.

9. Children's privacy

Our services are not intended for anyone under the age of 21. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with the revised effective date. Please review it periodically.
