Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview
This policy explains RYDO Mobility's cancellation and refund terms for self-drive car rental bookings. By making a booking, you agree to these terms.
2. Cancellation by the Customer
If you cancel your booking, the following refund rules apply on the rental amount paid:

| 6 – 24 hours before pickup | 50% refund |
| Less than 6 hours before pickup / No-show | No refund |
The security deposit, if paid, is always fully refunded upon cancellation, regardless of timing.
3. Cancellation by RYDO
- In the rare event that we need to cancel your booking due to unforeseen circumstances (mechanical issues, previous customer delay, etc.), we will:
- Offer you a replacement vehicle of similar or higher category at no extra cost, OR
- Provide a 100% refund of the rental amount plus a ₹500 goodwill credit for a future booking.
4. Early Return
If you return the vehicle earlier than the booked drop time, no refund is provided for the unused hours/days. The full booked rental amount applies.
5. Extension of Booking
You may extend your booking subject to vehicle availability. Extensions must be requested by calling +91 93901 20964 at least 3 hours before the scheduled drop time. Extension charges are billed at the standard daily rate.
6. Refund Processing Time
- Refunds for online payments are initiated within 2 working days of cancellation approval.
- The refund typically reflects in your account within 5–7 working days depending on your bank/UPI provider.
- Security deposits are returned within 3–5 working days after vehicle return, subject to damage/fine assessment.
- All refunds are made to the original payment method only.
7. Deductions from Refunds / Deposit
The following may be deducted from your refund or security deposit before it is returned:
- Outstanding traffic fines / e-challans
- Toll charges, parking fees, or interstate permit charges
- Fuel shortfall (charged at market rate + ₹100 service fee)
- Cleaning charges for excessive dirt, smoking, or spillage (₹500 – ₹2,000)
- Damage repair costs (as per garage estimate)
- Late-return fees (₹200/hour after 30-minute grace period)
- Insurance deductible in case of accident (up to ₹25,000)
8. Non-Refundable Situations
- Cancellation after vehicle has been picked up (mid-trip cancellations forfeit the entire rental).
- Bookings ended early due to violation of our Terms & Conditions by the customer (e.g., unauthorised driver, drink driving, misuse of vehicle).
- No-show cases (customer does not turn up within 60 minutes of the booked pickup time and did not communicate).
9. How to request a cancellation
- Log into your dashboard and select the booking, OR

Cancellation requests are processed during business hours (9:00 AM – 9:00 PM IST). Requests received after hours will be processed the next working day.
